What's the difference?
The delivery vehicle. Pomade sticks longer to your skin and shampoo stays less time on your skin. However, they were designed to work in conjunction to follow the 3-step routine.
For better results we recommend both the pomade and the shampoo. Then follow the nightly routine daily until you get the results you want.
Why the Shampoo Prepares Your Skin
Nopsor Shampoo uses a liquid, soap-based formula that cleanses, exfoliates, and starts treatment at the root.
Since it's rinsed off, the coal tar concentration is slightly higher to ensure it starts working right away, even in short contact time.
Using the Shampoo first removes flakes and softens skin, so the Pomade absorbs better and works deeper.
They work as a system. First step helps the second perform better.
The Shampoo can also be used alone for mild scalp psoriasis, mild flare ups and for maintenance. However, for better results, you need both.
Why the Pomade Works Differently
Nopsor Pomade uses a thick, Vaseline-based vehicle to help active ingredients stay on the skin throughout the night. This allows coal tar and herbal extracts to work longer without evaporating and helping stay longer on the skin.
That’s why the concentration of coal tar is lower, because the contact time is much longer.
Many users see healing even using just the Pomade alone during mild flare-ups.
